About Us:
Escape the relentless stream of distressing news at The Sanctuary Garden, a haven where learning meets nature. Engage your mind in cultivating skills, nurturing seeds into vibrant vegetables, and experiencing the therapeutic joy of being outdoors. Whether you’re sharing laughter with others or finding solace in quiet moments, our garden provides a satisfying break from worry and anxiety. I, Grant Stewart, a dedicated gardener with a passion for cultivating positivity, established this sanctuary to share the transformative power of growing and connecting with nature.
Discover the art of growing from seed, taking cuttings, and savoring the rewards of harvesting your homegrown produce. With 40 raised beds and a spacious poly-tunnel, our garden offers a welcoming space for both novice and experienced gardeners. First-timers receive guidance and support to cultivate their own vegetables, both on-site and at home. The Sanctuary Garden is not just a place to grow; it’s a community where skills flourish and friendships blossom.
In 2021 and 2022, we proudly donated 1200lb of vegetables, with more contributions planned for 2023. As we evolve, I am exploring the possibility of establishing a co-op garden, reinforcing our commitment to community, shared values, and organic practices. The term “sanctuary” embodies both refuge and protection for nature, and our garden embraces this duality by promoting organic, microbe-focused practices that create a living soil.
