Help from FMC and Fife College

FMC have to deal with waste cardboard from their factory, typically it is baled and recycled. After a visit by their iVolunteers, they suggested we could use it. Within a week it was 4 bales of waste carboard was delivered by FMC to the garden to be used as a weed barrier.

This week, 25 Fife College students came to the garden, laid cardboard and covered it with compost. This area will be inside the next polytunnel we’re building next!

Thanks to both organisations: we are grateful for your time, effort and kindness.
